Homeowners observed substantial frozen pellets as large as 7 centimeters in some areas. Meteorological experts announced that multiple regions across the state had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.

Moist weather were forecast to persist along large portions of eastern Queensland this week as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.
The following day was expected to become the wettest day, with persistent storm activity predicted across different parts of both states.
